Boy! Do we have Lipstick Plams. This palm has been referred to by many palm collectors and enthusiasts as "The World's most Beautiful Palm tree. The stunning "Red" crownshaft seems almost surreal. After having heard about them for many years and never having seen an actual tree I came across them on a trip to Thailand in September 2002. It has taken a while to get them to the United States and now we are pleased to be able to share them with you.
These are possibly the most cold sensitve palms in the world. They cannot withstand temperatures below 35 degrees, they prefer the 60's as a low. However, they can be grown quite successfully indoors. Consequently, most anyone can grow them. They are very slow growers. Instructions for their care is included.
