PLUMERIA CUTTINGS

Unrooted cuttings are nothing more than branches cut off of trees just as you would prune most any tree. In the case of plumeria, "cuttings" are the most efficient method of propagation. Our regular cuttings run between 12" and 16" in length. The jumbo cuttings run between 20" and 30". The Super Jumbo cuttings run between 30" and 40".



You can see from the above picture the relative sizes of the various cuttings. Not all cuttings will look like these and have the same branching pattern. Different cultivars have different branching patterns. As the picture shows the larger the cutting the more growth tips which give possiblity of more flowering sooner. The larger cuttings are for those people like myself who simply do not want to wait for the tree to look like a tree and for more flowering potential. Trees grown from the larger cuttings tend to be well branched pleasantly shaped trees.

We offer approximately 25 different cultivars in the larger jumbo and super jumbo size cuttings. The larger cuttings are listed along with the regular cuttings in the drop down box by varieties. They simply have the designation of "Jumbo" or Super Jumbo".
